Summary:The exhibition features images taken by photographer for Manchete, Elle, Newsweek and Magnum, (Alécio was an associate member between 1970 and 1976). Alécio de Andrade was born in 1938 in Rio de Janeiro. Influenced by Henri Cartier-Bresson, his work is marked by elements like the record in black and white and the lack of touches and flashes. Presented for the first time in Porto Alegre the FestFotoPoA 2009 Alécio de Andrade back to the capital with a retrospective that drew 12,000 people at IMS in Rio de Janeiro.
