Summary:The anti-sorcery ritual near Udapila Sri Lanka. SUNIYAMA -The first great myth governing the ritual is that of the first victim of sorcery Queen Menikpala, the wife of the first ruler of the world King Mahasammata. The other main myth is about the birth and exploits of Prince Oddi or Oddisa the sorcery/healer who invented the ritual, which cured the Queen.
