Summary:The nine-volume series, of which this volume is number 2, represents the Canadian contribution to the 27-volume Decade of North America project, which marks the centennial of the Geological Society of America. The present volume covers the offshore zone of eastern Canada, from Georges Bank to Nares Strait, a vast area extending almost half the distance from the pole to the equator. It describes the geology of the continental margin of eastern Canada, the contiguous seas, and the eastern Canadian Arctic.
